No doubt about it, this thing sucks up lots of dirt, but it is so noisy. I have to use ear muffs to protect my ears. If you can't put up with the noise or with using ear muffs, don't buy it. The last Bissell I used lasted for about 5 years, not bad at all. Hopefully this one will last a while.
